any high grade thermal epoxy is fine... make sure to use a very small amount so not to epoxy your leads together.....

AS epoxy sets in about 20-30 minutes.

Just put it on corners or center

CENTER!!! try to stay away from the edges - use about the size of 1/3 - 2/3 the size of an m&m candy on center.... you shouldn't need much more than that

I thought the GTS had 2 clips that held it in place? The 4500 series does. Then all you gotta do is adjust the fins on the blorb so that it fits the retainer clip.

That sucks. But now that I think about it. Didn't the GTS come with a GHS pretty much like a blorb?

If you got holes in your card you can get a fan that uses them to attach to it. Like the 4500 or KryoII. Then there is no permanent attaching.
I got one here, I just put some ASII on it.

That's whut sucks about thermal epoxy, it's a pain if your fan dies!

the orb came with pins, so i can use it. right just put asII on there first

I had to lap the hell out of the fan's hsf too. about 30% of the chip actually had thermal grease touching it. Lowered the temps by quite a bit.

Yup yup. that way, if the blorb ever dies, it ain't no thang to replace it.

Hell yeah, get rid of it. and I'd lap it also. I think you'll find it's prbably quite warped.

*edit
Wait, I mean lap the hsf, not the GPU!

Uhhh.. Lemme see... I did mine with 150, and I think 300 after that. The GPU itself won't be that flat anyway, so it's not nessisary to get a perfectly smooth finish.

Unless you wanna lap the gpu, wich I wouldn't reccomend. I've fried a couple 4mg cards playin with that...

This is the one I was talking about. My camera blowz BTW. but if you get the hsf lapped decently and put ASII on liberaly, it should be ok.

I don't require water cooling because Mine dosen't get above ambient at full load.

And blorbs make good N-bride coolers. That's what I have.
And that's not a blorb on my vid card, it came that way....

SO THERE!;)

Its Butt plug you butt head

Tell you what you try to find a H20 Northbridge cooler that will fit an Epox 4BDA2+ The mounting holes do not line up so that a Corb or Blorb would even work. The Northbridge is unusual as the Die is exactly the same as a PIII socket die or an Athalon die

All I know is my North temps dont exceed 30 ever

Heres a better pic
