hi, im planning buying this ram 2 x 512MB, coz my current ram still 2 x 256MB
i'd like to know what the highest clock this ram can go with timing 5-2-2-2.0 and what vdimm?

from what i see, why OCZ VX Gold 3200 can get higher clock than 4000?
like 3200 can get up to 270 while 4000 max out 266.

^^ Thats an importen question for me too.
My plans are to get the DDR400 VC Gold next week. But i defenitly NEED to know if they work on "DFI NF3 Ultra-D" ( My board works fantastic ! )

3200 VX and 4000 VX seems to top out roughly the same, guide vdimm is 3.6v for best results :)

260mhz 2-2-2-5 with 3.6v is a common speed from both sets :D if your lucky you may hit 265mhz or more :p:

but make sure you are using active cooling over your mems, or the heat can stop it scaling with voltage.

thanx metro for ur info.
the problem i got is my current ram can got 270 with timing 5-2-2-2.0 and 3.60v
260 5-2-2-2.0 with 3.50v

as Korpse said, vx4000 run 260 with 3.60v, why vx4000 use higher vdimm than my ram while the official is 3.50v and my corsair official vdimm is 2.80v

simply because your ram isnt made for 250mhz on default, your ram might be old bh5/bh6 (a really good chip) the vx series use utt ch5 that is a good chip but worst than the bhX chips.
