Is the difference between the 2600+ and the 2400+ worth the money? I would like to get up to 2.7Ghz, but I only have plain watercooling.

that would be pushing it for both cpu's i think. you could probably get 2.6ghz out of both i would think.... though i may be wrong..
Try to find a AIUHB stepping chip. That's the newest stepping I've seen so far. Either speed you should have good luck with as long as it's not an older stepping. .

my 2600+ does 2.92Ghz stable, but prometeia cooled. i think 2.65ghz would be possible with plain water. btw, it's AIUHB Week 43.

Go for the 2600+ as it runs a lot cooler then a 2400+
For example, my (for me) bad XP2700+ @2.8ghz runs 23°C cooler then my XP2400+ @same speed and voltage, prommy cooled
deff something to keep in mind when using watercooling

Finding a specific stepping here in Portugal is really dificult but I'll try to find an AIUHB.
One more thing, do you think there will be a diference of more than 100mhz between a good 2.4k+ and a good 2.6k+? The price of the 2600+ is almost twice as much.

You paying 100 dollars more for 100mhz more? Or the 333fsb? Cause I can run my XP2400+ stable at 12X166 at stock voltage easy.

I think I'll buy a 2400+... I'll save the rest for some ram or video card. What do you think? I'm stuck in the 200Mhz because of my Samsung pc2700 and therefore the ram might be more useful.
What stepping should I look for?
