I have recently sold my pair of crucial ballistix pc4000 mem cuz i didnt need them in my sys. Felt that they were to good for my sempron2300+ and nf7s mobo... So now i use my old mem stick and i have been confused about this stick for a while now.... on it it says that its a bh70 chipp??....could it be a bh7 or is it just something else.....i have searched the net about this but could not find anything.

Well, there's actually nothing new about that ;)

Winbod's BH/CH parts are speed-binned at just as follows:

BH/CH-5 ---> DDR400
BH/CH-6 ---> DDR333
BH/CH-7 ---> DDR266

There's also BH/CH-75. So, If Winbond's ICs that are on your old stick are marked as W942508BH-7 then they are DDR266, 133Mhz...

Give 'em some volts and see how they perform ;) Don't forget to snap a photo of the stick for us, too :)

Hey....

Well here is the pic of the mem stick: http://upl.silentwhisper.net/uplfolders/upload1/mem.jpg Sorry for the large resolution (1600x1200). I couldn't take a better pic of it and so i wrote the code that can be seen on the chip it selves but heck i forgot where i put the piece of paper. so is it a winbond chip or something else?

It's something else. Or they have to be relabled and have the dots filled up but I can't really believe this. Real (not relabeled) Winbond IC's show "Winbond" written large and BH/CH-5/6.

Oh ok...... I will test it in my friends dfi ultra d mobo to really see if it perform any good cus it works great @2-2-2-5/11 at 400@stock volt and can hit about 250@2.9 wich is max that my nfs can give but i gues it is a piece of crap mem....

2-2-2-5 250mhz at 2,9v? That is very, very good. Show us some results please.

Thats's a generic Mosel Vitelic's IC.
Last row ends in SAT5B, It's a 5ns chip.

I think those chips are actually rated for 250MHz, I remember the DT43B parts were rated for 216MHz. (At lax timings, like 3-4-4 or something like that though)

That ProMOS'/Mosel vitelic's chip (V58C2256804SAT5B) is rated 200MHz CL2.5
(http://www.promos.com.tw/website/eng/product_data.jsp?grup=g1)
Not 250MHz.

I once had a 1gig set of Mushkin Black Level I with those chips.
