I was wondering if cpu-z was accurate in determining the memory specs. Because i ordered Corsair CMX512-3200C2 from googlegear.com and as u see in the pic below it says Pc2700. Is there any other programs that tellu the specs. of yur memory. I want to make sure before i grill googlegear's assess.

Its dependant on the fsb your running, it will only report as 3200 if your running 200fsb, it will report 2700 at 166fsb and 2100 at 133fsb.

The Corsair part number should be on a sticker on the heatspreaders bud, that's pretty easy! :)

Mine does the same thing, if you read Corsair's website it says the PC3200C2 is programmed at existing JDEC spec's for PC2700
because at the time PC3200 was not recognized, so don't worry about it...mine does ddr454.

Update to CPU-Z 115. It will tell you the type of your ram regardless of the speed youre running it at.

IT wasn't reading my OCZ PC3500 memory correctly as well but it ran perfectly at 2-2-2-5 @ 200Mhz so I am sure it is just a software glitch.
