Well, i have some pics below showing my socket insulation, i used the seal tape on the top to souround the socket and 2 layers, criscrossed, of foam tape on the back of hte mobo. Im posting to make sure you guys think it is good, becuase i dont want to kill another mobo 9im using a chilly1 phase change system).

Im a bit concerned about the foam donut not going down all the way on the front and rear of the sockets, the sata ports in the front and the caps in the back seem to be pushing it up and not creating a seal, what can i do to fix this? trim the donut? and how tight should i tighten down the evap assembly?

thank you.

That's pretty much same type of insulation I did few months back, when I got Chilly1's unit. As far as the donut not creating the seal. Try to form it so you can get around the caps and SATA ports. As long as it hits the seal string on the mobo you should be OK. While you bolt it down donut will compress and make a tight fit with the seal string on the mobo.
Also, use dielectric grease at least around the area where CPU goes into socket. Just to seal it in case you get some condensation for any reason. Best would be to use it in the socket too, but around it is a good start.
