Some have said these work as well as Artic Silver III. Any comments on this and which brands seem to be the best?

I haven't found anything to date to work like AS. :)

I've never seen a thermal pad yet that even matches half the conductivity of a good silver bearing thermal compound. Whoever told you that probably beats off to national geographics;)
