bf2 experience pissing you off too?

I have had bf2 for about 5 days, and I only play in ranked servers. I think I average about 45 points a round and have played for a few hours each day. I estimate I have earned about 2,000 points. However it shows I have earned a whopping 445. It seems about 2/3 of the ranked servers I play in do not add my stats. I was told some servers take a day or two to be updated, but some of my missing points are over 4 days old. I am missing about 4 ribons aswell.

I finally managed to get it to register 1000 points, but the damn game is so buggy I have to log out, log on, join a ranked server, get a point and then it recongnizes the promotion in the game...but oh wait I joined one of those ranked servers that just throws my exp out the window. So now i have to join another server and get another point.

These bugs are just rediculous. This stuff should have been worked out before the game was released IMO

Anyone else getting annoyed by this?

Also another thing that is realy annoying me is the scope on the sa80. What the hell is that cross hair? Where do you aim with that stupid thing? For supposedly the most accurate gun in the game it sure is a pain in the ass hitting people with it. The berret .50 cal too. I fire at people standing still and hit nothing, then i switch to my m16/ak and they drop in 3 bursts, all recognizing.

dont forget that when you are playing on ranked servers, you HAVE to finish the current round for your stats to register, and yeah the SA-80 is crap its less powerful than it was in the demo and has the crosshair like an svd, unless you are a hardcore medi you shouldnt even bother with it. g36 drops in 3 shots :D

Some servers just are like that. I am hitting 6k in score but I reckon I lost about 2-3k somewhere with those crap. Recently though I see it doing much better.... and not losing much score.

I haven't lost any in like 2 days. I just check to see my points are updating after my first death, and if they are it usually stays there. If not I just leave the server immediately.

i don't play the game too much, but i know somebody who does, he didn't start on ranked, he wanted to get to know game, but just recently started playing ranked. and now has 13K points already. puts in damn near 60 hours a week at that game.... 100 of which are ranked hours.

i haven't heard him complain about that though.

I cant even get my copy to run. Every time I start it up the screen goes black and I have to close it out using the task manager.

Well i sent EA an E-Mail about my sounds for my weapons cutting out, and some GFX 's corruption and this is the crap they send me back!!!! Of course none of it worked!!! :( :slap:
I know that they have to reply to everyone as they are computer stupid...but cmon man it says all this crap in the damn readme file and book!!!! Tell me something i don't know!!! :rolleyes:

Thank you for contacting Electronic Arts Technical Support. I'm sorry for the difficulty you are having with Battlefield 2.

Please make sure that you have closed any programs or tasks running in the background as sometimes one of the programs can conflict with the game. Background applications such as anti-virus programs are often the cause of conflicts.

· Hold down the Ctrl, Alt, and Delete keys at the same time
· Click the "Processes" tab.
· Click on the gray bar in the middle column that says User Name to sort by user name.
· Do NOT select anything for SYSTEM, LOCAL SERVICE, or NETWORK SERVICE.
· Click on anything besides EXPLORER and TASKMGR for this User Name or other user names.
· Click on END PROCESS
· Repeat these steps until only explorer.exe and taskmgr.exe are open for this user profile.

You can try tweaking your display settings on the monitor, as these sometimes affect the game adversely. Try to set the game to 800x600 resolution and 60 hertz refresh rate, or 1024x768 and 75 hertz refresh rate. To change resolution, just right-click on your desktop, and select properties. Go to the settings tab and you can adjust it there. On the same window, click on advanced, then go to the monitor tab. You can change your monitor refresh rate there.

You can also to run the game in windowed mode by editing the command line of the game's shortcut to:

"C:\...\Battlefield 2\BF2.exe" +menu 1 +fullscreen 0

i had the desktop crash happen once, mabe its due to all youre guys's high end hardware :D for a reference charlie i run a 9800 pro stock and i play at 1024 all medium except terrain and dynamic shadows which are set to low/off respectivley aa 2x i get 30-40 fps.

I am playing on the 6800nu in my sig. It is softmodded to 16/6 and I keep it slightly OC'd when I play.

Charlie, to force a resolution that's not listed in the video options (say 1280x1024 for example ;) ), right-click the BF2 shortcut icon and add +szx 1280 +szy 1024 to the end of the Target command. if you have a widescreen monitor, make sure you change +fullscreen to +widescreen too. I hope this helps!

Hm, I wonder if 1280x1024 would be better than their 1280x960 or whatever it is, on my 19" crt. I am going to try that out, thanks for the info.

ive play many times and all the sudden the game quits but it think it wiats till ur having fun and then it does it. i beleive my copy of battlefield 2 is very sadistic and just wants to see me cry.

Mine crashed once a map last night. It wouldn't crash to the desktop, just kick me from the game. A few times it said kicked due to vote for excessive team killing when I had no teamkills, nor was there a vote. I must have dropped out atleast 7 times lastnight.

depends on your interpretation of "safe" personally i dont use firewalls, but i also keep it in good practie to reformat every month so, its all up to you, if you look in the instruction book they give you a LONG list of ports to open, i just dmz my comp while im playing

WHen I was playing CS allot people would often try and hack me by getting my ports from the game..

I wouldnt recomend playing without a firewall unless you dont have anything important on your PC.

either you dont have the .2 patch, or you have something edited like when people were unlocking all the weapons in singleplayer, if you dont know, just reinstall

Acually stats DO Update During Gameplay, and should Take about 5 min after to show up on www.bf2s.com
