hey guys, ive been playing around with the onboard gigbit LAN ports on my MSI k8n neo2 plat 939 mobo.

i cant seem to get my one port to work, at all on both my boards... (nvidia firewall+nvidia network controller.

do you guys know how i acctivate my nvidia firewall? ive done it once before but i cant remember how i managed to get the Nv firewall to work

the only options i see in the bios that might be it is (nvidia LAN) set to (Auto)

anyone got any advice?? i need both onboard ports working so i can link 2 comps via crossover wire...

thanks and have a good day.

One of the Ports is controlled by Nvidia and the other Marvel

what do you connect to the nv net controller port? some other PC? or what? unless the other end has a DHCP server set-up yuo will always get that "limited connectivity" on XP SP2 and on Sp1 you will just get a personal space IP 169.254.x.x with 255.255.0.0 net submask
