:D Is there any improvement expected in regassing a stock MACH II GT with R507 without doing further mods ?

I think I remember I read that the difference to R404a is only ~2°-3°C.

And what about the compressor? Can it handle R507 or is a sudden death expected early???

:D O.K. - just found some informations about it in some threads - so I will regas it with R402a.

Only qustion I have is my MACH II is a GT and all I found about regassing is according to a "normal" MACH II.

Do both use the same captube lenght? If yes, it should work without problems.....

Maybe someone with a R402a regassed Promy can post some experiences.

THX !!!

Hey Frank,
I'm pretty sure the gt and the regular mach2 use the same captube length. Only difference is in the gasses. R507 not only has a lower boiling point, but also has a larger capacity than 404. I'm not too sure about 402 though. I know that 402 and 507 are pretty similar in terms capacity and temps. I take it that your new 57 is begging for better cooling :p:

The original cap will work just fine with R507 and R404A :)

Think R507 stressed the compressor a little more than r404... NOT 100% sure as it is out of my memory. Not sure how much impact it is supposed to have on longevity...

I have R402a in My Vapo LS and it is about 6 degrees cooler than R507 with the same load. i would go for R402a everytime better temps and capacity.

Yes, go for r402a. I am getting ahold of some for my Mach II (and low stage on my new cascade if I start work on it soon).
