The Inquirer reports, with the help of its sources, that 7800GTX prices are following a trend of getting cheaper and are available from as low as $550. Things will heat up with the launch of the 7800GT series imminent.

Thats good.

Nvidia would naturally want its big ship purchased so if they lowered its prices, they would need some low prices on the GT model at launch to make it succesful. A 20 pipe card for around 400-450 would be a solid choice. Maybe even unlockable.

ATi better have the ace of spades to undo Nvidia on this one.

That article would contain lots of errors. Hope the decreasing price is _not_ one of them. This might, in the end, mean that 7800U will have a reasonable price tag still, and ATI might have to follow with R520 (unless its performance would be even better).

You can easily find them in places like MonarchComputer.com for about $550.

I believe we post as much a scope we can cover so that members can read and be aware and decide for themselves whatever the topic is. We are jus consolidating info for all to benefit....... :)

Actually, why not just make one thread where you put all the latest Inq gossip, or just provide users with a lil l'inq to "theinq.com"?

Yes, because this isn't really news, this is just rumors. You want to spread around hysteria about stuff based on false information, which might very likely be disproved the very next week, go work for the Inq themselves.

That will depend on the Mods.....will see what can be done :)
