SATA will not stay as first drive [Archive]

Im having trouble with my SATA drive working as the primary drive. I will set it in the bios as the first boot device and it will load, but when I restart my pc, it will lose the settings I changed and boot the IDE drive instead. Im running BIOS v1008 with a P4S800D-E Deluxe mobo. Is there something that Im missing, or fixes for this problem? I changed the PC battery, but Im still having the same problem.

maybe u have to set the boot config to that hdd first
and disable onboard raid sata raid ...
