Has anyone tried loading their nForce 2 board out with 3 sticks of ram yet?
I will likely be running 3x256mb Micron PC2100 sticks.. reguardless of what board I get, and am wondering if the nForce 2 loses any stability while running 3 sticks?
I'll be dropping 3.0 to 3.2v on their ass, too 8-)
PS - Im looking at the Epox right now.. whats this about instability in games? I am also hesitant because of the BIOS problems... anyone have any info?
Thanks in advance.
How are you gonna drop 3.2v to them w/ the 8RDA? ;)

True I've seen reports of a little as 2.82 being available on Dimm slot 3 and vdimm mod is supposed to be tough.

Not to mention that the 8RDA vmem mod has been reported as, well, not easy ;)

I get 2.81v max (2.9 bios). Pretty sad actually, these corsair xms 3200 sticks love high voltage. :(
@stevil, i'll see whether my brother wants to loan me a DDR333 stick. I'm pretty curious too actually. :)
According to people in the know, that vdimm mod is a tougher than average one. I have personally looked at that chip, and have pretty good soldering skills, but I am in no hurry to do it. I'm hoping someone will come up with an easier way to do it, but it seems like the right people do not have the board to try other alternatives.

Ah, I thought it had the settings in the bios.. my bad 8-)
Are there CPU voltage adjustments to 2.3v like the other Epox boards?
As to the vmod - is there a way we could bypass the regulator chip with the 3.3v line from the PSU and then on the return sense line put a resistor or something on?
8-)
