I know this has probably beed asked alot before but i cant find it:)
As title says i need to know what is my best bet to reach those timings.
I have just oredered OCZ EL DDR PC-4000 Gold VX memory and after speaking with OCZ rep he says that these are not best for intel sys. Didnt do my homework here :slap: I will probably have to sell or trade these. I might get up to 240Mhz if i'm lucky. Will test it out thou. Maiby i can adjust some settings with maxmem to get higher but not hopping to much for that. Can anyone recomend me something. Voltage is not a problem. I can go up to 3.6v with DDR booster on my board

Bh5/6 or Micron IC ( 2.5-2-2-X most likely) are your best bet . With 3.6v to play with 250 with some bh5/6 should be possible .

Check this out: =F-A-S-T= DDR Memory: 2-2-2 Roars on the Scene (http://www.anandtech.com/memory/showdoc.aspx?i=2145&p=1).
I personally go the OCZ EL Plat Rev.2 and I'm somewhat happy with them. I was just misled by newegg's (see "more info" tab) site thinking that they were TCCDs when in fact they are TCC5s, nonetheless I'm still able to get the ram to DDR500 see: 250mhz @ 2.5-3-3-5 n 2.90v (http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y218/Nasgul/650SPI.png). Seems to me that going from 2.5-2-2-5 (Crucial Ballistix) to 2.5-3-3-5 (OCZ EL Plat Rev2.), performance is almost equal and to be honest I'd rather the OCZ's over Crucial Ballistix.
I just wish OCZ would come up with some DDR2 675 CAS 3-2-2-8, like Corsair's. Can't find the DDR2 EB anymore at newegg. Yes I only shop at newegg and ZZF doesn't carry OCZ almost. This is why I am somewhat happy with my OCZ's: OCZ EL Platinum Revision 2 (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16820146890), I paid $190 just three months ago.

I now know that i should of gotten bh5/6. But what brand and model to many of them outhere. I only used TCCD before so i'm kind of lost.
Edit
Thanks thats a great info link man. Oh well i gues i'm going to have to trade my OCZ :(

Guys i was just thinking that with bh-5 i probably would end up with 260 MHz max. I was playing with my Hynix b5 ram today and came up with unexpected results. This is only @ 2.85v which my MB limith. I could probably get them up to 300Mhz with 3.1v. Check this run out 290x10 1:1 2.4.4.5 = 25sek PI just on 2900Mhz  . This is my record for now still stock heatsink with chiled air cooling @-28c. Cpu idle/load -15/-3. Now i'm realy thinking if i should upgrade my mem at all since when i put chiled water i would be running with x 11 multy. Higher FSB or tighter timings which would result in better scores :stick:

What sticks have those hynix b5 chips?
Great results for 2445 timings, cpu speed is high though.

UTT BH-5/CH-5 do not run well on Intel platforms in general. You have much better chances with old school BH-5.

Why is the new stuff so bad. Should I hold onto my old school stick (even the values sticks)

If you are still looking for tight timming at 250fsb my ocz el3200rev2(TCC5) will run 253fsb at 2-3-3-6 at 2.9V 32m superpi stable.

I ran my twinmos 2x256 new ch5/utt sticks on my Dothan rig for 253mhz 2-2-2-5 at 3.5v on the P4C800-E DLX and it was great.
I hear regularly that intel doesn't work with bh/ch as well, but I found it ok.
Then the CPU died.

Lol you killed me man :D :p: . I hope cpu died not because of UTT :stick: . I dont know if i should try the VX i got on intel board. I might tomorow but might just sell them and stick with Hynix i got. We'l see how hynix scale @3.3v

I had a 1GB kit Mushkin Hi-Perf Lvl2 PC3500 (old BH5). The ran DDR500 CAS2-2-2-5 with 3,3v. This was on a Asus P5P800 (Socket775/Intel 865PE + vdimm mod) and a Pentium 4 520 @3,5GHz...
I think most BH5 will do it if your into giving them 3,3-3,5v, but that often requires a OCZ DDR Booster or a vDimm mod.

Well i have tried this OCZ EL DDR PC-4000 Gold VX with my MB and they are no go. Exelent ram but just didnt do well on 865 chipset. Back to my Hynix ram. But it seams that Hynix b5 dont like anything over 3.1v. I get beter 300MHz with 2.9. Oh well gues i'd have to let got of the OCZ. Some lucky AMD sys owner gona get them. I dobt i'm going to go with BH5 since i can easy becnmark @ 290mhz with 2.4.4.5 and high FSB somewhat makes up for loose timings. :D

Hey, check out this review over at OCTools (http://www.octools.com/index.cgi?caller=articles/gskill/pc3200/gskill.html) about 2-2-2-5 Gskill ram. It says with vdimm at 3.2v they were able to get 250, and with 3.6v 265, not bad for $150 for 1gb at Newegg. Also i've seen quite a few people run some older BH5 sticks at 250+ with 2-2-2-5 and around 3-3.3v, I'll hollar if I see any for sale. BTW railer, what type of custom chillbox are you using? Any pics or buildup descriptions? Hope that Gskill works for what you need.
