Here's my little gaming setup I've been working on. I got a faulty ddrbooster that would have saved me some risky soldering on the motherboard, but in the end, it feels better this way :D.
Dothan 730 - zalman 7000cu custom install (http://img276.imageshack.us/img276/172/picture0244ri.jpg) , p4c800-e, xms 3200LL v1.1 (http://img142.imageshack.us/img142/5828/picture0265ty.jpg) (512x2), bfg 6800gt (http://img230.imageshack.us/img230/2249/picture0316wx.jpg), tt purepower 480w, 3.3 sensemod -> 3.63v (http://img301.imageshack.us/img301/9281/picture0322dx.jpg), vdimm mod (http://img276.imageshack.us/img276/6058/picture0251jo.jpg) to 3.35v (http://img142.imageshack.us/img142/5773/picture0309pc.jpg) (currently running at max of 3.54v), perfectly stable cpuz (http://img301.imageshack.us/img301/4339/cpuz8qy.png) 2-2-2-5.
I can get the ram maxed out at around 255 2-2-2-5, loosening doesn't help, anothing above 257 wont bench, above 260 will lockup, CPU unstable @ or above 2.7. I would just love to run the 10x multi and get this ram stable above 260 (265 would be my final goal), but its a 1gb kit, and may never hit that marker, but I'll surely try ;).
26s superpi @ 2.68 / 242, 29700 3dm01, 13,890 3dm03, I need some better cooling on the card to break the 30k / 14k walls.
w00t!
I have to replace the stock cooling on the gpu, and remove thermal grease on the zalman / replace with as5, other than that I don't have much planned. Any recommendations, hardware or software wise?

Nice man. But upgrade the cooling on that gfx card. It's got to be the loudest thing in your rig. (It is in mine. These 6800gt coolers must be at least 35dBA.)
zalman 7000cu custom install
What do I need to know to install a Zalman like this?
A friend of mine wants to build a TV/VCR-device with a P-M for the living room and wants to make everything as quiet as possible.
Slow running Zalman would be fine...but how to install it with CT-479? Your pic looks good... ;)
Thanks,

dm / runmc - "Lookin good!" were you referring to the rig..... or the budweiser? :toast:
I cant get coolbits to pass over 420 / 1200, so yea, just like dithan said, I really need to upgrade this cooling (your right too, that fan is rediculously loud for doing such a :banana::banana::banana::banana::banana: job) but it's not as bad as my old 5800... running on a hang over with that fan made me want to throw it thru the window...
I've heard a64 modded fan works great for GPU, what is known to mod easy to fit and kick arse? I'd like to get this rig completed, with flying stars ;)
oh yea, super_pi results (http://img110.imageshack.us/img110/5562/spi0uh.png)

flox - mounting the zalman is easy, just take your time and do it good. You'll need the same sized bolts that come with the zalman, but about an inch long, because you have to turn the mounting brackets upside down, + the mounting piece on the HSF itself (upside down) its not as bad as it sounds, but be sure to put PLENTY of pressure down on CPU to ensure best temps, as that HSF wasn't designed to be mounted like that, it takes a few more turns of the rist to get it running at 100%.

Just use rivatuner and disable the clock test. Powerstrip will also do that. But with stock cooling you might not gain much anyway
