On a Zalman VF700. I had a P4 copper heatsink on before, which I thought sucked, but it turned out to be quite good, because when I replaced it with the VF700, my temps went up DRASTICALLY. From 52 to 60 idle, from 70 to 80 load. Then again I'm running my 6800 at 1.67v VGPU, but I expected better than this. Oh well. The RAM sinks and 12v fan connector were still useful.

Anyone want to buy a ***** for like $***, minus most of the accessories? :p: lol

We have a for sale area... This is NOT the place to try and sell things...

did you check if the vf700 is properly seated? and the contact is flush? also, make sure your thermal compound is adequately applied too. too little is better than too much.

they're ok heatsinks, but could be better...

The mounting pressure on them kinda sucks too :(

Nothing was wrong with how it was seated. When I removed it the thermal paste was spread perfectly over the contact area. I could even make out the NVIDIA logo. The card simply ran too hot for the VF700 to handle.

I'm going to be selling the card soon though so it doesn't really matter.
