Too little, too late. IBM has a new high performance dual-core PowerPC chip on the horizon what will range in speeds from 1.4GHz to 2.5GHz. It will also offer a low-power version in speeds of 1.2GHz to 1.6GHz:

Maybe MAC is going in a new direction. 4x2.5ghz processors would be pretty good. Maybe one of the xservers will have even more (8x2.5). It may be too late for us windows users, but for Mac people, this may be good.

yes, maybe...but Mac's are going to be using Intel processor in the future. So who knows if this will get used in a Mac
