Even though I think a stock PE should be pretty good for cooling a dothan to acceptable temps, I think I'd like to keep the system current in case I can manage to swing the performance I'm looking for from the 740 with air cooling and I now free up the vapo for an X2 or Pentium D. The old evap is small (and getting a little dinged up now) and a newer, larger evap head would make maximum core contact much easier to achieve, not to mention the thermal benefits it affords me. I know the common limitations when going with a straight regas. What I was thinking was to get a nice flexhose type install done with maybe the Lightspeed evap and new a64/p4 clamshell (I think a chilly1 block would be too thirsty for whatever this system can pump.. correct me if I'm wrong)
Do you think I could manage the larger lightspeed block on some lovely flexhose if the PE is reworked to move more or better gas? I think chilly had mentioned the best this system could handle would be a 507 rework , just wondering if the LS block could be added as well.
Next question, for any of you who have upgraded Vapo LS's to one of chilly's latest creations, did you keep the old evap, and more importantly, are you willing to part with it?
As always I appreciate your input.
