i want to buy me 7800gtx but befor that i want to know if they also have the coldbug like my 6800 u or not?
and also if asus 7800gtx have the coldbug or not?
becuse asus 6800u dont have....

Yes it does, but there might be a bios update in the future to fix it.
Nvidia coined a new term, its called a "warm bug" on the 7800GTX because when you go below 35c (yes that is a positive +35c) the card freaks out.

Sure. Why ASUS would be different in this case?
After all, 7800GTX from any manufacturer are exactly the same cards.

It might be different because ASUS's 6800U didn't have a throttling issue. ASUS uses the same-o reference design and there are no reports of a corrected lukewarm bug with it.

I wonder if the next nVidia card will throttle at 45c? Seems to be the path nVidia is on... Apparently they want us to run these things at 70c. :rolleyes:

wow that is a really high temp to freak out at, i reseated my maze4 block 4 times thinking i had it on too tight or something and all it was is this stupid cold bug lol
