afaik they only work in the 32lane asus pci-e motherboard ?

Any sli board would run it. The extra ram doesnt require more PCI-E lanes.

It inspired my sig.
yeah they had the nerve to say he spent too much money, I mean come on, we all spend tons of money, why not spend the extra for it, doesnt matter.
It is overkill though, but would be nice to have :)

Yeah.. alright well thought I'd ask. I could see that you'd get better performance in say a 3D shooter that really loaded a ton of textures, or a game like SWG (which has a bazilliion textures). Just because everything would load on the video card instead of your system memory/hard drive.

I could do like 1350 or so but I thought why not just go for 1337 :P

you won't get a gig of memory, SLI puts the same data in both cards so they can work in tandem, you'll still "only" have 512
go for dual 7800 gtxs if you want to blow some cash :)

Stock air currently--I'm working on some small probs with my 2nd card. All my scores dropped in 3dm01 other than nature which blew through the roof.
But regardless I think that the BIOS I am using is keyed towards single cards more than SLI. So I'm going to try 2 other version I have.
Also the card I got has a diff heatsink and possibly a diff bios, so I'm going to slap two modded bioses on the cards and hoepfully all of this will help it :)
