View Full Version : P4 3.2E (SL7E5 PHILIPPINES) - Help me, please
Well, I have a great disappointment. I don't have good results using air cooler and watercooler. In the air it does fsb 230 with 1.5v, dram 400 (1:1), vdimm 2,85, timmings 2.5-3-3-7, spread spectrum disabled. I have a P4 3.2E "preshott", P4P800-E and 1GB HyperX PC3500 KHX3500AK2 (is it CH-5?). I'm going to try more than 250mhz, but i can't. Superpi mod result in 3760MHz with fsb 235 (miracle):

When I set more than 240mhz with any configurations the system reboots or have a freeze. In 230mhz with 1.5v it's rock stable.
Thanks ;)
P.S: sorry, but my english is bad :(
What motherboard? you have good temps? maybe bad contact on waterblock making it perform like air? I find it easier to oc if you oc with clockgen and prime95 small fft's running for finding cpu limits. Just up it 5mhz at a time till p95 gets errors.
maybe your giving it too much voltage and motherboard is undervolting alot, that happens to me on my board

ASUS P4P800-E Deluxe. Temperatures: Idle = 40º + -, Full = 50º + -, Max: 55º + -. Before: 55º, 65º and 75º. I have installed the watercooler yesterday and i've tested the system during 8 hours without problems. Clockgen is a segure program? I don't have tested any oc with programs, only in the bios, but I'm going to find the limit of cpu with clockgen and prime 95 latter hehehe. And what about the memory? I have a pair of KHX3500AK2. Is it CH-5? Thanks, bro ;)

I am guessing that your just plain old reaching the limits of the CPU, or aren't pushing the volts to the ram enough, or drooping of the Vcore is holding you back.
you have a 3.2E, and a Asus board, it might also be worth reading this post here, to see if you can find a way to change your multiplier to 14 if you want to try it.

I have the exact same CPU but 3GHz, i managed to get it to 4GHz.
The vdroop on the mobo is a big problem (i have P4C800E Delue), also increase the memory latency from 2.5 to 3, and lastly set the ram to run 5:4 with CPU.
Im running 1.512V but under full load it drops to around 1.3. so i guess a droop mod is a must.

Hum, very interesting, but does it work with P4P800-E or only with P4C's?

Yeah, i have that problem too. Yesterday i've tested 240mhz with 1.45v, but during the test it drops to 1.3x. I'm looking for a vdroop mod :(

There are a few in the mods sections, just look around.

Is it very difficult to do? I'm a newbie :slap:
