did some 3dmark 2k1 and score only 26250 with diego @ 9x306 2750mhz and gskill at 2.5-4-3-6 with my card at max speed 670/1365
cpu and vid watercooled w/mods why does my score pale in comparison to others with similiar overclocks?? is everyone using some lod cheat thing because im not quite sure what that is. some hints for a higher score are appreciated as i want to make this 6600gt fast.
btw i hear ovp @ 1.75 volts on this card so i stoped right there at 1.755 and it hasnt triped yet does anyone know what will happen if it does trip can the card come back with the voltage turned down??

you need windows 2000 ;)

i guess i would need another hardrive for that as i dont want to trash my raid array.
what kind of gains to expect from that?
also anyone done the mem mod on this card what kind of memory gains can i expect from 1370 with more volts? i have mem sinks and 120mm case fan over it and power circutry heatsinked so would some more volts make this 2.0 ns ram faster?

ur nature is low, it should be something above 170, try lower clocks mayb ur card is throtling or somethin like that, did u use multi tweak?

I 'd say u should b getting 29k
take a look @this http://service.futuremark.com/compare?2k1=8462826
That's my old run on AGP, so u can add like 600 points by using windows 2k, 1k by 1MB cache, 500-1000 by new drivers . . .

wow blind reaper how is your nature so high with those clocks? im going to reopen that project and see what i can do with nature... if i go any higher with my memory i see little artifacts tho and get a lower score so ill have to up the volts and get the core higher to beat that i guess... what tweaks can take nature higher as my system score seems ok but nature seems low

brandinb which are your scores with ed mark 05 at those speeds?

high nature scores are with LOD tweaks that make IQ look like crap. Without lod, ati crushes Nvidia, especially in nature. I still say get win2k. buy a used 10 gig hard drive just for 3dmark ;)

smoked my old score and a pretty damn good score for a 6600gt if i do say so
with a faster cpu clock i could push this up much higher but unfortunatly my 3700 isnt such a dream overclocker tho
well lod makes it look very bad im wondering if everyone does this as ive never seen it?
explains alot on why i couldnt match scores others were getting tho lol
anymore help on my way to 28k is appreciated!!

btw i see some car1 scores that are way higher then mine with same or slower cpu? how is this possible is there some trick to that test? with 20-30 more fps in that test i think i will be alot closer to 28k
brandinb

is there some order that is better to do the tests??
[XC] leviathan18
07-06-2005, 04:23 PM
yes there is an order as far as i know but i dont know the order no 3dmark05 yet??? 01 is too cpu limited imo maybe some 03 too that would be nice im going to try 03 this saturday with my zalman 700cu :D

experiment yourself man.... Thats how you get the pleasure of OC.... We wont give you the key to be on top like that;). Just go in Rivatuner find LoD, try 1 by one the best in average... because a too low may decrease your scores from other benchs, but increase your nature, too high may do the opposite.... each computer will have a different LoD sweetspot....
Brandinb, try some lower mem freq... sometimes too high mem freq is not good.... Try to do like 1200 or so... I think my max was 1300 with that card under -20c and full modded/// But i could go up to 1465 without crashing but it was giving me very low scores in some benchs.... Actually in most benchs...

im locked @ 590 1200 you think if i do a vmod it can go higher im specting at least 630 1250 and 17.5k @ 3dmark03 right now i have 16750 and 16880 but this last i couldnt post it the pc froze in the worst moment LOL, i also want to break 8k in 05 to be in the top of the 6600gt

Is there any way to turn off riva tuners "test" function?
I'v been playing around with my 6600gt, but dont know much about the programs, cant I just set it to something without doing the "test" frequncies?
[XC] leviathan18
07-19-2005, 10:13 AM
yes in the pro part of riva tunner there is the override for the test function btw that is LOW oc damn and i said mine sucked
try to see if the hsf is seat properly or get better cooling

I've read that doing vmem mods yields very little result on the 6600GT, can anybody confirm that?

Actually on videocard the mem voltage will vary a lot from card to card.... What DOES help a lot on the 6600gt is cooling the core better... And Vmodding the core voltage gave me almost 100Mhz on the mem... Boost the core, then boost the mem:)

i have the zalman vf700 cu and 4 80mm fans cooling the place xD my top right now without vmod is 590 1200 if i do the vmod is perhaps 100mhz+? damn that would be 690 1300 i think with that no body can matchs me xD wacht out 7800gtx LOL

is the vmod from the xbit article the best way to vmod the card?
http://www.xbitlabs.com/articles/video/display/geforce6600gt-oc.html
or are their better guides/vmods some where.
Leviathan-When my 2nd card comes in, I challenge you to a 3dmark off :p:

Yeah, my other 6600gt did 604/1280 on a VF700 !
So sad
Gonna be putting it under dry ice though, so hopefully it'll give me atleast 650/1250 under dry ice, with cpu on dice at 3.1ghz it should give me some decent scores
Edit... really bad with riva tuner
Wheres the pro part where I can select test override?

Umm I didnt like how the mod was explained in Xbit.. I based myself on it, but when you dont know much about Vmod (you know how to Vmod and it stops there...) it may be hard to understand.. IIRC, there was a guide at Vr-zone by Sham.

I believe the one Shamino did was the 6600GT AGP, anybody know of any others for the PCI-E? *edit* NVM I found it:
