Hey guys, what is the max safest voltage to give to an AMD 3700+ San Diego? and what is the threshold temperature for this cpu that i should look out for when ocing? thanks

4 volts, 100C.... try nubOC.org! :D

Just kidding but in all honesty XOC is the wrong section. AMD probably better. I dunno man.... I do 1.65 on a venice, maybe use up to 1.7. I like my cpu's on air under 50 load... better stable OC's.

well what kind of cooling...if its stock cooling i dont recomend much over the stock voltage (maybe 0.1v to 0.15 higher)

I can't speak for others but my SD 3700+ doesn't like high voltages, my oc's start to crap out after 1.7V. I need a Cascade to test my theory though. ;)

well.. the problem is that it's not a question that can be easily answered. what is fine long term for one core may be quick death for another :stick:

well to help u guys, i wanna see how much i can OC on air then im gonna watercool it. I have the neo 2 platinum with bios 1.8.. on idle, the bios gives me temps of 44C... with MBM and vcore, it tells me ~40C on idle.. on load it gets up to 48C... which is kinda hot.. remember, i didnt even overclock yet....
