I have the Rosewill RP550 550W PSU, and the fan inside it hasn't turned on yet. There are 3 switches on the back of the PSU labelled H, A, L (High, Auto, Low) in which it's been set to Auto. I'm wondering if anyone else has this PSU or any Rosewill PSU with this fan selector switch feature who could tell me if the reason the fan won't come on is because it's set to Auto and the PSU isn't getting hot enough for it not to come on? It's pretty cool in my bedroom where my pc is so it may just not be getting hot.
Anyone else know anything about this or has experience these Rosewill PSU's?
Thanks!

I have one, and it has worked flawlessly on everything I've thrown at it! For the $$ it's an excellent PSU, ran a Venice on -65C cooling up to 3400mHz!! The fan SHOULD turn on, very strange... exchange it. It's probably just a loose connection, but why mess with it if you can just grab a new one.

Yea it's a great PSU! And it kinda scared me that the fan wasn't on at all, but then I thought that "well maybe it's because it has fan temperature monitors in it and it's not hot enough for it to come on at all". I have it set to Auto instead of Low or High and maybe that's the reason why the fan isn't spinning...because it doesn't need to. I don't know.
I have another quick question:
Does your Rosewill PSU have a connector plug to plug into motherboard for the "Power Fan"? I don't remember seeing one on mine. All I have is the 24pin connector, the 4 pin - 12v connector, a bunch of a 4pin molex connectors and some kind of 6 pin connector which I have no idea where to plug that into. I didn't see any little 3 pin connector to plug into my "Power Fan" connector on my motherboard.
Please advise.

Charlie do you think it's a FSP Group PSU? That's what i was kinda thinking it was when i first saw it... Looks like the 500watt SLI Fortron without the blue paint.

"power Fan conector?" No, I don't recall seeing it... and why would you plug a 3 pin connector to mobo? If you mean the floppy connector on a DFI nf4 board, you're just suppose to use a floppy plug.

On my old Antec 430W PSU it had a cord coming out of it with a 3 pin connector on it. On my motherboard there is a 3 pin connector that says "Power Fan" and when I had my old PSU I plugged that cord into the motherboard which fed power to the fan (i think), or it could have been just for monitoring. Not sure.
I was just wondering if I had to do the same thing for my Rosewill 550W PSU?

Nope. Those are for fan speed sensing from PSU to mobo only.

UGH. I really really dont want to RMA ANOTHER PSU from NewEgg. I won't have my comp back up and running for 2 weeks. I have ran this comp, overclocked all day yesterday, all night and all day today with no problems while the PSU fan has been not working. Think it will be ok?
It's a great PSU for the $, neweggs brand -- rebadged sparkle.. My son has a OC athlon xp moblie@2700 and a 5950 Vid card both which suck power like a two prescotts and the fan barly spins up... silent. Fat 35A 12 volts..
Maybe fan solder joint or fan connection got loose in shipping? I would fix it myself and save shipping cost.
