Hi all,

after tweaking my bios with my CL settings to high i cleared my cmos but i am still receiving the message "cmos checksum error".
With 'F1' i can start the default settings but i am not able to get into bios anymore.
Klicking 'del' leads to a black blinking cursor.

Any suggestions for gaining acces to bios again?

Is there a tool to fix that problem?

(Performed so far: jumper set to cmos clear, save jumper, removed system battery, unplugged all usb, hdd, cd, power devices)

Reflash the bios?

:D Yep - good old DFI issue. Overwrite the BIOS 1 time and it should work again.

Thx for answers.

bios flashed, even different versions: 2501 / 1802 / 310 / 623
---no success
overwrite did not solve the problem described

I have 2 DFI NF4 SLID / NF4Ultra-D. I swapped the bios chip of both with the same result: no access to bios settings

Mobo and Winchester work fine but i am used to 3900@2551Mhz which i can't set now. :bsod:

Any other suggestions?

Attn:
I tweaked my twinmos twister PC 4000, works fine with cl 2.0/3/3/5 FSB200 MHz.
Next step was 2.0/2/2/5 FSB200 MHz, VMEM 2,95.
Saved those settings.
Rebooted.
Board warning sound went on, then cleared cmos and the described problem occured:caution:

Try to flash using /LD option or maybe your battery is low...
