Can't install 3d mark 2005

I dunno what's wrong, I have a new rig and can't benchmark it.

The 3d mark 2005 installs just fine and runs OK on my other PC. It is Win XP SP2. And the new one is with SP1. Is this the problem and how can I fix it?

It is an installer related problem. I read somewhere about problems with installshield, and about update patches.

I was having the same problem with Soundforge7 and Sp2 RC1 - but then the installer hang with 100% CPU usage.

I triet to run the installer in compitability mode which resulted in 1000+ install processes, none of which usefull.

Anybody seen this problem before?
