3Dmark2000 fun

Ahh brings back old memorys of the sub 1ghz days. Was playing around with for a bit. Got 7500 in it with a Xabre. Im actually video limited in 3dmark2000 lol. you probly need to run compatabilty mode on XP though

lol, funny coincidence. i installed win2k-sp2 yesterday for benching cuz i had no sp3 around. when i realized that sp2 comes with dx7.0 i installed 3dm00 at once. :D

i only got like 27k at 1024x768x16 ... in 3dm01 its 34k at 1024x768x32

'00 doesn't work with my system. It might be the lack of an AGP slot or it might be the "FSB" running at over 1GHz, something is throwing it off and making it crash.

I tried '99 and it spit out a error about needing DX6.

no its just a dx7 benchmark. it will run with 9 installed

btw, who can get the highest score?? We need a high clocked Dothan in here :toast:

i got 9800 with gf2ti @ 250core 400mem xp3000@2166 1gig of ocz vz 2.2.2.6

i just run it again at 250 core and 450 mem got 10550

well i ran it again once i noticed i forgot to overclock my graphics card

ran cpu at 2772 and gfx at 580/1250

new score of 26456 on win XP sp2

I don't know if it's going to be high. A fx-55 with x800xt pe scores only 23k :p

I remember the first time i got over 10K in 3DM2000 with a GF2pro @ 235MHz/222MHz and a 1GHz 'AXIA' TBird @ 9.5x162, 256MB Crucial (i forget timings, they were v.tight!) and 8KHA+ (and a cold January morning!)

I used to beat my friends GF3 at the same frequencies... Wierd eh?

Will re-run with a 9500NP and the Dothan again once its modded, seems the older cards do well on this one :D

Neat benchmark. You can definitely tell that 00 and 01 were made by the same company. (unlike the newer 2 imho)

This benchmark sucked really on my system :p: I reached only 10k or something when i tried it 2 months ago with a S754 2400mhz Newcastle and 16/6 6800LE @ 350/800
