Pretty impressive :toast: Wonder when the 7800's will have their own classes in 3dmark ? Normally it's shortly after they go on sale.

Were you running the cascade on the card or a single stage unit?

 Very good 05 score, well done!
What were your scores on 03 and 01 like with those clocks?

Well that should shut the mouths of people saying that the 7800GTX are no better than X850XTPE's "as they both score 9xxx@05 when clocked.."
Really awesome Shamino :)

11K is awesome for 1 card:slapass: . But he's not happy with his SLI performance. As far as i understand we wont see 20K in 3d05 for a while. Or at least until there would be a way to bench 7800's SLI on 3.5+ Dothan or upcoming Yonah. I hope fx-57 is benchable @4G but that dont look to promising now :fact:

well unless there are some notoriously *high* backup scores
on their hard drives i dont think that 1300 points are so easy
to achieve !
well, from what i've seen i think that has only benched with regular water on the card thus far. i think were in for a fun time

Shamino really drives his point home regarding the CPU bottleneck on SLI performance with his chart on the VR-Z thread. The FX is a bottleneck at 3.6ghz? That idea just makes my head hurt. I wonder if ATI has designed their Crossfire system to be less dependent on the CPU.

I cant wait for 40k from 3d03. I think it will be possible. Also, try 3d01. I think u would do really well. 700+fps in nature.

holy k! I cant believe 40k is almost broken in 3dmark03 when just a year ago, getting 20k was a milestone.
Shamino, your saving the best till last aren't you. lol

Its interesting. in the past year or so the gpu market has increased in speed about 4x from one 9800class card to the SLI 7800GTX.
but the cpu market has.. well its not been so kind to us.
makes me wonder when the cpu will be the huge bottleneck for 3dmark 03 and 05 like it is for 01 now days. (yes i know 05 has a "cpu" bottlneck right now with the 7800GTX but this is a horrible bug in the drivers/software and not the cpu's fault)

Thanks OPP, its weird, your is WHQLed, I've installed the drivers so many times and its still non WHQLed....
I've experienced an always non-WHQL bug in the past, finally found that it was caused by a service needed that was not running.
The bad news is that dont know what service is but if I boot XP with my default hardware profile the bug dissapears, If I boot with almost-all-services-gone profile the bug is there again.

Good God that's pure insanity  And to think when you posted that core/mem info I thought you were retrying 6800 Ultra SLI lol.
so 40k CAN fall with better drivers etc....nice :D Hmmm...though if I'm not mistaken, ATI's architecture on phase change DOES scale higher doesnt it --> hence OPP's 9k on phase with one x850xt :)
I can only hope the R520 can do the same, but already it has some pretty big shoes to fill

holy CRAP things are really starting to heat up!!!
What really gets me excited is that I can't wait to see how well the X900XT does. If it holds true to most of the specs we "know" as of now, it'll be one sick race later this year for some of you guys.
