Exactly what mr. K said. n00b agrees, its situational, and n00b also thinks it would be also good if you have to water cool your nb or some other dumb idea. The nice people over at swiftech have that nice white res for a drive bay that can have 2 inputs. Its perfect.

When I build My blocks I am going to make each block with 3 barbs. I am building it in such a way that one outlet can be plugged to make it a 2 Barb. What do you all think of that?

Nice. I don't think I've seen such a design before.
If the second outlet isn't used, you could use the same thing they give with those HDPE Bay reservoirs: a blocked barb.
That would make a cheap and effective solution I think. Though depending on the design it might have negative side-effects like trapping hot water.

I figured it would work decent even if one barb is blocked because of Cathar's Cascade which had 2 and 3 barb versions along with the Storm series.

I've seen it done before. The block comes with a little stopper that screws into on of the barbs, thus blocking it comppletely.
I currently am using a 2 barb, but, due to outside circumstances, will be going to a 3 barb. I'm not sure which I prefer, as I've only used a two barb design before. I think I would like the two barb, because you need a more powerful pump for the three barb, therefore costing you more money. I dont like spending moeny... Or do I?

polarflo do that... though it uses a size not available anywhere... 9/16 or something daft...
use 3/4" or 1/4" thread or whatever, so people can actually find the plugs :?

How about a picture for Cpt Twitchy? :D

That's what I meant.
Forget where I saw it, I'll try to find a picture.
Quick hijack: I have the choice of getting the White Water waterblock for very cheap, due to an error on the vendors part, and the website says it is aluminum topped. Does that mean that the actual block is part aluminum part copper, or could the block still be 100% copper?

It says :

It's got a blank.
