after i read some descriptions of systems in the "Xtreme Grand Prix"-thread, i saw a few members (including me) have those S(mall)F(orm)F(actor)-Systems.
i thought, we could make a list of the systems including overclocking-features, cooling-solution and other gimicks of the system.
here a example:
Name: Aopen Ey65
Board: Intel 865G+ICH5, 1x agp + 1x pci
supported cpus: all northwood-cpus, prescotts needs the version II of the barebone.
PowerSupply: 220Watt (but really stable)
2x 3,5 + 1x 5,25
firewire, usb2 for htpc
cooling: alcu-cooler, standart retention-modul --> much room around socket, so you can use another cooler.
bios:
vcore - 1,575V,
vdimm - 2,7V,
vagp - 1,8V,
fsb up to 400, pci/agp locked.
ram-timings changeable.

This is a nice idea. That might be my xtreme folding system. Thank You for making this thread.

SB61G5v2 Shuttle box as a MC/Folder.
3.0E @ 3.58
They have a nicely designed heatpipe cooler that keeps things somewhat in check. Running at 58c under full load with a pressy.
2.5 - 2.8v mem voltage adjustment
1.2 - 1.6v vCore adjustment (will verify when i get home)
100-250 FSB adjustment
Nice clocker considering it's size. I was not expecting SFF PCs to have near this many options.

thanks for the entry, but this topic was thought fo sff-systems and not about micro-atx boards! do you know anyone else with a sff-rig to post here?

Sff rigs use Micro-atx boards..
To buy premade.. Just cheapens the experience if you ask me...
And trust me you will not find alot of SFF users on an overclocking site...
Or would some Micro-itx boards better something more useful?

no they dont use micro-atx boards. the sff-mainboards only have 1agp and 1 pic slot. have you ever had a barebone from shuttle?

Are you sure about that

yes show me one barebone, from shuttle or any other company, which has a standart micro-atx barebone in it.
for me sff-barebones have only one pci-e/agp and one pci-slot. but now please back to topic!

you said SFF not BareBones SFF..
Heck you can upgrade those rigs with Micro Atx boards.. I know this because I have done it

i think we were both right, but didnt unterstand what the other wanted to say. i opened the thread to start collect infos about sff-barebones like the shuttle barebones! i never thought that µatx is also small form factor (in my opinion its way to big ;))

Sry, but first you are talking about micro-atx, now you are talking about micro-itx, a form-factor which doenst exist.
the itx-formfactor was invented by via. there are only 2 different ones. mini- and nano-itx
one is mini-itx which is 17x17cm (btw. i am administrator of www.epiacenter.de, english users please visit www.epiacenter.com)
micro-atx is about 23x23cm. the boards which are used in shuttle/aopen barebones are more like the old flex-atx-standart, which was about 25x19cm!
but this doesnt relate to the topic. b2t please!
