Hi all,
I need to find the appropriate fittings for me pump, and radiator.
Here is the info that may help you help me:
Radiator: http://www.dangerdenstore.com/product.php?productid=46&cat=15&page=1
Pump: http://www.customaquatic.com/customaquatic/itemdetail.asp?itemid=WP-IKMD20RLZT
Tubing: http://www.dangerdenstore.com/product.php?productid=172&cat=33&page=1

For the radiator, I was thinking of just adding some plastic barbs (is plastic OK?) to my shroud order, http://store.over-clock.com/ThermoChill.html (ITS THE ONE AT THE VERY BOTTOM OF THE PAGE!). Would that be a good option? Or is there something better? I am pretty sure I need the fittings to be angled at 90 degrees to fit in the case, a Mountain Mods U2-UFO (do you know nikhsub1?).

For the pump, this is something that I assume is key in selecting an working product "Iwaki 20 series pump with 3/4 inch MPT outlet", am I correct in thinking this? I am completely clueless as what to do. I think that I might have seen someone just taking a wire zip tie thing that fasted by tightening a screw (sorry, I have gone blank on the name for that one).

From the picture, it looks to me as if the inlet and outlet are threaded, can anyone who owns this pump or similar confirm this for me?
This is what I looked up, under "Barbed Tube Fittings", Size= 1/2" 3/4", Product #=
5463K472 . Will that work? If not, please help!

Thanks a bunch in advance,

Yan Booth

The barbs at OC uk are the right ones for the thermochill radiator. I looked far and wide and could not find any 5/8 fittings that were BSP. atleast not in America. if anyone has any place that sells BSP fittings pleas let us know.

I see ur going to mcmaster. I suggest this part number here: 5463K476 . remember its a mcmaster part number. www.mcmaster.com the part is a 5/8" OD fitting with 3/4" NPT which is exactly what you need. it will most certianly help out.

and DO NOT use any 90 degree fittings! the UFO2 is a huge case and can fit just about any pump without having to use 90 degree fittings.

I was not going to use them for the pump, sorry if I made a mistake; but does that go for the radiator fitting? I might just PM nikhsub1 and see what he has, after you reply.

Are you saying that part # 5463K476 (the one you mentioned) is for the pump?

Thanks

Just a question, I will be using 1/2 ID tubing, and that part # you linked is for 5/8" ID, will it work anyhow?

Thank you,

YanBooth. Yes, it will work. The 1/2 ID tubing will slip on over the 5/8 OD. It will be a snug fit, but will work well.

yah it will work. i had u get that as it will reduce the restriction in the system and help to solve any problems u might encounter with a small fitting on the input (possible cavitation in high flow situations).

as brit said it will also give a snug fit for the tubing. it works very well to stop any leaks.. i use 5/8 fittings on all of my test equipment for this reason as well as it being less restrictive (so that i dont effect the flowrate too much by having my test gear in the loop)
