What is the best AC submersible pump out there? I need a high head/high pressure pump for my next WCing project :D Hopefully, it can be below $100 USD since my pockets arent too deep.

you do NOT want a submersible pump. it is a very ad idea. it will add considerable heat to you system.

Guess I will need to keep it external of my res and connect it with tubing :( What pump would you suggest that is cheap, has high head, and high pressure?

Define cheap ... I'd say the Iwaki WMD-20 RLT/Z is cheap at around $110. At least it is when compared to the RD-30 + MeanWell PSU. [$330-$380]

If you must... Either a mag6, or... can't remember the name... its like Little Big something...

$110 is a bit much for me right now. I was looking at the Hydor L35 though, seems pretty good for $50. Think I should go with that?

if u want to go with something like that go with an eheim. they are of much better quality than the hydors. but the hydors and eheims are all low head pressure which is not really what your looking for.

To complete that sentence, Little Big Pond Pump. Just google for them. They make great submersible pumps.

I have decided to dish out the cash and get an Iwaki WMD20RLT Water Pump - (American Motor). Can someone help me find the fittings I will need to connect 1/2in ID tubing to it?

um may i suggest that you get 5/8" barbs. you can get ones that convert the 3/4npt of the iwaki to 5/8" OD barbs. this will stretch your 1/2" tubing a bit but it will be super snug.

you can get a pack of 10 at www.mcmaster.com . the part number is 5372K218 just copy and paste that into the part number finder and order.

Do you know of a decent cheap AC submersible pump? I have other plans for it's use besides water cooling a PC so I was actually interested in this question :)

mag 6 is working great for me (it's submersible, but I'm using it inline)

mag 3 is best pump to submerse, only 44 bucks too. If u want to use it inline some time, u prob may not want it though. Some ppl do have problems with them when inline. $/performance ratio is 2nd to none though.

Well I was actually going to use it to make a little miniature pond with fountain like thing......more specifically the things where the water pours into the bamboo to make it drop, hit the stick, empty itself out and continue the process =P

strange request for a pump I know, but for the construction I had in mind the submersible would be perfect
