I have the D4 pump for some time now, and except for the noise, it works pretty well.
Now, I noticed that on the backside, it has 2 pins, but I have no idea what they are for. Looks like they can be jumpered, but I'm not sure about it.

I searched for reviews about the pump and noticed that some didn't have those 2 pins, and others do.
I asked DD last week about it, but haven't received an answer yet.
Anyone have an idea what they are for?
Here's a pic of what i exactly mean :

Just got a reply from DD (do you think they read this thread?? :D

When a jumper is placed on both pins, the pump will run at 10V instead of a constant 12V.
Might try it out later, it should reduce noise production too.

Your pump sounds like some sort of a 'pre-D5'. How's the noise?

I think they do. The day after I posted this (http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?p=862300#post862300), they updated their website with this:

It has been a buys month! I know we've mentioned pumps in the past...and we will have two new offerings in the next two weeks...one from Laing (the D5), and one based on the C-Systems MAG.

It is noisy, just like idleuser compared it vs the mcp600 here :

Placed the jumper, hoping that running it at 10V would reduce the noise level, but it doesn't.
I hate this pump for it's noise, although it performs very well.
I might go looking around for another, more quiet pump.
Bought this one about 4 months ago.
