Well, I was planning on the OCZ PC5000 for the DFI nF4 series motherboards, but it was discontinued, and Newegg no longer carries it, so it is time to make a decision on a new set of RAM sticks.

Here is my dilema, I think that 2GB's of RAM would be a future protection method, but 2GB's (1BG x2) of RAM would not be anywhere near as fast as a set of 1GB G.Skill PC4400 sticks.

I am really not sure of the pros or cons of either option. Of course, the G.Skill would be fast, but it is only 1GB; the 2GB road would give me protection for the future, and I guess some perform increases.

Any chance you could help me decide, by showing me the pro's and con's of each?

I will be using the computer for gaming, and general use.

Thanks in advance,

Yan

I'm assuming the motherboard you have is a 4 DIMM motherboard. Why not get the 1GB G.Skill sticks to take up the first two DIMM slots, then add on 2x1042GB sticks later?

Will that not make the command rate (think that is the right name) go from 1T, to 2T?

Right now, I am thinking of just going with a pair of OCZ Titanium 2GB (total) ram sticks. Am I wrong in thinking that the speed lost in MHz will be counter acted enough with the extra gig to make it worth it?

This is very confusing... *Cough* Nubius *Cough*

We shall see.
