One of my faults is that I constantly like to tinker with my computer, trying to improve things and improving performance. I recently bought this case (http://www.silverstonetek.com/products-tj06.htm) which I'm very happy with by the way. This case uses the BTX style for the MB and uses a wind-tunnel for cooling the CPU area. At the moment I'm using a XP-120 on top of a 3500+ Winnie and getting fairly decent temps, 42-43 C at idle, and at load I've yet to see the temps rise above 54 C.
Well, like I said I've been trying to find a way to improve my CPU temps, at the moment I don't overclock at all, but I've been boning up on the subject and will try my hand sometime in the near future. Now, Thermaltake's SonicTower (http://www.thermaltake.com/coolers/4in1heatpipe/cl-p0071SonicTower/cl-p0071.htm) seems like a perfect solution. I'm using a Abit Fatal1ty AN8 MB at the moment. My two questions are this, is it worth upgrading from the XP-120 to the SonicTower, and second will this Sonic Tower fits inside the wind-tunnel of my new case?
kronos :D ;)
