At Mobile & Wireless World Conference Intel demonstrated iAMT at work. There were two laptops(based on Yonah): one as client, second as administratir`s. Client`s system was infected with virus, which paralized the OS - even web protocols weren`t working. Administrator accesed client, cos iAMT works on hardware level and doesn`t depends on OS status. So he defeated the virus and send reboot request.
There is also info that iAMT is strongly tied with Vanderpool technology.
Next year second gen of iAMT gonna be available with new series of chipsets Broadwater. Improovements will take part in possibility of administration through web-inerface and EFI su-system release, which will replace BIOS.
