"TAIWANESE FIRM Ovislink said that it has released the WIAS-1000G, a 54MBps wireless internet access control gateway aimed at hotels, restaurants, internet caffs and the like.
The interesting thing about this baby is that it also integrates access control and billing. This stuff includes a built in groups and users databases that manages the access time and rate according to the policy of the wi-fi provider.
It also has POP3 Radius and LDAP external authentication, and you can even buy a zooty add on which prints receipts for up to 2000 accounts.
The bandwidth manager guarantees supply of wi-fi juice by usage time or traffic. The box, which looks very much like this picture here, includes 1 WAN, four RJ45 10/100 Ethernet ports and an RJ11 port for the billing printing system."
