Maybe cheaper components are used too. Or slightly different overlay of power system like on those 875 INFINITY (http://www.dfi.com.tw/Upload/Product_Picture/875%20INFINITY%20b.jpg) and 875 LP (http://www.dfi.com.tw/Upload/Product_Picture/LANPARTY%20PRO875%20b.jpg) I don`t think that Xtreme OCer will go for INFINITY series if you have LP.

The last line of Infinity was just as good as the Lan Party so why would they do anything less this time? Take away the UV and fancy black pcb and you get less cost but the same board. Hopefully they will make this one as good as the last.

Heh .Nobody sad that INFINITY gonna beworse than LP. But i think somebody will make sure about that with some phase-change and high volts :)
And personally I don`t think that different color of PCB and sockets is worth for about 10-20 $(or what woud be the price difference). INFINIY`s PCB also gets colored(original tekstolit color is blury yellow) and sockets too.
Lan Party series also ranked very high, and that`s not just for it`s color.
I repeat that Xtreme OCer (with phase-change or LN) won`t buy INFINITY series. Some less xtreme guys also wouldn`t. So why to spend on VERY powerfull and stable components, when you can use cheaper ones with the same quality at stock or higher modes.

The only difference from the LP and infinity lines with the first infinitys were usually the extra LAN port, and PCB colors. otherwise, everything else was the same, esp for the Nforce II line. problems and all :(
Should be the same, and ofcourse everyone that wants the colors will be getting the LP. they come with a ton of extras too ;)
I'm not too sure about the p4 infinity line, but the Nforce II's infinitys were JUST like the lan partys-- just no color.
Ive had one do 267fsb, 255fsb, 220fsb, and one was DOA. :stick:
still OC the same. :)

DFI is excited to announce today that it will re-launch its INFINITY line, bringing to the market state-of-the-art motherboards featuring high-quality components and friendly overclocking features, all at a more affordable price.
I assume that its to bring good features at a cheaper price :)

Probably. I think the DFI Infinity series are good overclockers with just a cheaper price and less features. ;)

They not even RED like before. Just original tekstolit color. And absolutly another PCB layout ! No additional radiators and no jumper for Vdimm changing. Oh NO !!! I won`t buy this "INFINITY".

I so don't dig the look of the PCB color of the first few. Looks like the toilet after I drank too much. :D
