We are proud to test-drive a renewed phase change cooling unit
from E.C.T. With temperatures reaching a stunning -70°C there is
almost no better way to turn your CPU into an ice-cube. This article
is all about overclocking and not overcooking your system!

-74°C with no load  ...but with 80W load the cpu dummy they used was only cooled to -4°c... so with a prescott and 130nm A64 you would only get around 0°C load temps? hmmmm
the contact area of the cpu dummy is larger imho then A64/Intel
4000+ @ ~3200Mhz is quite good no?

@ 3200 MHz 1.8 volt how much watt will this be?
~170Watt

@ 180 watt its -24 ;) :slapass:
the dummy is really big :)
the 2nd graph needs tweaking the number values for Watt are f*cked up:)

-74°C with no load
Or not really, looks to me that if they configured the software to take away about 15-18C from the reported temp it would actually report the evap temp properly.
G
then again -50°C ain't bad either:)

I'm not saying the temps are bad, I'm just saying that -50 isnt -70 and from the graph the inaccuracy is pretty constant so it could easily be corrected.
If you are saying your temps are -75 when they are actually -50 then you are reporting the temp of the unit to be 30% more negative than it actually is, which in my book is quite a lot, and if it is fixable then it would be beneficial to do so.
G
they are measuring from another point then the head of the compressor, making their values more impressive and invalid either, just less to the point:)

I wonder how loud this thing is. Never saw this tiny freezer myself.
