computer freezes every time i play a video

it don't matter what type of video the computer freezes, then i click the boxes to close, cpu usage goes to 100% then about a miute later unfreezes and boxes suddenly close...any idea?

which player ?
reinstall all the codecs.... try getting the k-lite mega codec pack... it's great....
it comes with media player classic.... which i use for all video playback....

all of my players, winamp divx and wmp where can i get this k-lite mega codec pack??

it could really be the codecs... since it happens for all players... delete all the codecs....under the device manager -> sound, video, game controller -> video codec

delete all the audio codec while u r at it too... then reinstall the codec pack

found out the problem damn chipset utility drivers, updated to 637 and they work gr8 thanx though harp and dave
