Just put my computer together
msi neo4 plat
1 gig(2x512) pc4400 mushkin
ati x800xl
audigy2 zs
AMD 3200+ Venice
OCZ power stream 520
It boots but it gets stuck on the the "hit del to enter bios" screen. Only thing is it wont recognize any keyboard i hook up to it, usb or ps2.
tried resetting bios and using 2 different keyboards one a logitech usb and another a sony ps2, niether worked
This is my first msi board, decided to go with it over what i usually get, asus, so far im pretty disapointed.
Is this board faulty?

yah i know everyone uses DFI but i want something stable and i thought this board was supposed to be very stable. But it wont even recognize a keyboard.
Think i should exchange for another then sell it and get a abit fatality?

i would stay away from abit fatality myself. You should probably RMA it because it's not a terrible board; you just got unlucky. Lots of mobos have problems.
Its probably hard locking rather then not recognising the k/b.
What bios is it running?. It may be a bios not compatible with the Venice.

cant tell u what bios it is cause i cant get that far. its a good possibility that is the problem.
over at the the msi forums theres seems to be a few others with the exact same problem. One had to rma 5 times to get one that worked. Not sure im willing to do that.

Try booting while holding the del key as well. I know i have had this issue a few times on my Diamond and i'm pretty certain i did the del trick and rebooted several times. PS2 or USB keyboard doesnt matter really. Both works. Also try to hold the reset cmos button for a longer time.
