2 networking as one, but with 2 macs

My connectionspeed is 1mbit for each mac address...
I have 2 couputers and can dl 1 mbit from each..
then I thought.. what with 2 nic's in 1 mashine working together.
it's essential that they to the outside have 2 macs.

I have both windowXP and Fedora core 4 on my own computer.
but I would prefer a system for my linux, cuz I'm trying to only use windows for gaming

I`ve heard of it being done with two 56k modems in PCI slots, so I don`t know why it wouldn`t work...maybe?

If the network adapter supports teaming and pooling at the driver level you can do it. Mostly server grade NICS with multi ports based on Intel chips do this. Otherwise it's a crap shoot.
