OK, this is weird. My vantec iceberg (copper) came in today. I took off the stock DFI nb cooler, threw this on with a dab of as5.

Temps:
Stock nb : 47c
Iceberg : 39c

All was gravy, I was happy with thw $10 I spent.

But for some reason, after booting down for dinner, then coming back, and now my temp is back to 47c! The fan is not being blocked by the video card, so it's spinning. Anyone know whats going on? I cant take it off without removing my motherboard again, so that's out of the question. Any advice, just anything.

Thanks :\

does it come with fan speed monitoring? im assuming not since its a vga cooler. is it possible the fan slowed down? how are you powering it? molex? mobo fan header?

Idem, maybe mobo bios is configured to let the chipset go hotter than before... :stick:
