Hey,
does anybody know a way to mod a kt133 chipset? I've already done the vcore mod and replaced the caps with bigger and better quality ones. It would be nice to be able to reach 124fsb so that the new divider can kick in. I have watercooling on my nb and aso got a spare 30-40w pelt. If there is no kt133 vmod or it can't be done would adding that pelt give me more fsb?

IIRC most of the earlier Via chipsets were powered directly from the 3.3v line, so raising your 3.3v line should increase the voltage, but I don't know how much that will improve the clocks. Putting a pelt on the northbridge will probably gain you the most IMO.

In the bios is an option to rase the 3.3v line. I've already set it to 3.5v because i thought it was the vmem. It that really is the nb voltage then setting it ti 3.9v+pelt should do the trick. Am i right here?

If there's a setting to change the voltage then the northbridge voltage (vdd) could be supplied by a regulator, in which case it should be possible to mod the northbridge voltage. Can you post some pictures of the northbridge area of the board please.

My digicam is on holiday with my sister. I'll look for good pics on the web.
EDIT: these two ics look interesting. The ic's under the agp slot are used for the vcore mod and i doubt that they also control the vchipset.

It looks like the voltage adjustment in the BIOS is for the Vdimm, and not the northbridge, so the only way to increase the northbridge voltage is probably going to be by raising the 3.3v line :(
I might be able to find a Vdimm mod for the board if you need one instead tho ;)

ghehe, i need all the mods possible  :toast:. So if the 3.3v line is vchipset then all i have to do is to adjust my antec 430w?

yea, adjusting the 3.3v line on your PSU should increase the Vchipset :)
Can you tell me whats written on the chip I have circled please.

the ic is either
hip6004bcb
h0027cck0
or
hips004bcb
h0027cck0
the 2 mosfets have:
phb
55n03lt
phm 0031 d4
written on them.
EDIT: it is hip6004bcb not hips004bcb

For the Vdimm mod, connect a 50k variable resistor between pin 10 on the HIP6004 and ground. Decrease resistance for more voltage.
I can mark pin 10 on a picture if you need me to :)

that would be nice. Thanks. I wonder how high pc100 can go :P i'm already running 144mhz.

I can't find a picture of the chip anywhere, so this is the best I can do. If you can get a picture of the chip, I will mark the pins on the picture :)

that isn't nesserairy. I'll try the mod as soon as my new watercooling is in place. Prob next week. I'll post some pic's then.
Btw what is the max v sdram can handle? And does anybody know the wattage of a kt133 northbridge?
EDIT: I found out that i can raise the 3.3line in bios.
