i did the true downloader thing, im only hitting 90mb/s oh well itll be done when i wake up, im turning in for the night.

Screw this demo, i'll just wait for the game to come out. Been downloading it all day with all the links above. I reach 440MB and the damn thing stops. Most of the other downloads sites only runs it at 4KB/s......Man i feel like smashing someone's head with a hard drive. :D

Truedownloader is still in Beta stage, so i guess you can expect stuff like that. Me and my friend downloaded BF2 demo using same software and link. no corruption here. Installed and played BF2 for couple of hours, definitely will buy the Full game once its out, Good Job EA! :toast:

BTW, the demo came with new nVidia forceware 77.30 drivers For a good reason ;) Those 77.30 fix the bug with crapy ugly shadows i was getting with older FW 75.90 .

i got it off the russian site first (top of the list imo), corrupted, then i got
it off some local site and it worked fine..

also thanks for the links to the demo and all.

installed it and well.. on my 9800xt in my dothan rig it would only do with
medium settings (only 2x256mb ram in here) and well it was fun, but the
graphics didn't blow me away as much as i had hoped. guess it's time to
put in the 6800gt to see if it really shines (optics wise).
also what i consider pretty much annoying is that 12 minutes limit. hell
what if i just wanted to explore the area and all... hmmm

there's actually away to remove the 12minutes thingy...

locate the file gpm_cq.py in either /mods/bf2/python/game/gamemodes or in Standalone Demo Server/mods/bf2/python/game/gamemodes (if you're running the server install).

browse that file using the notepad and locate the following line:

host.registerHandler('TimeLimitReached', onTimeLimitReached, 1)
transfer it to be a comment by adding a "#" at the beginning of the line like so
"# Host.registerHandler('TimeLimitReached', onTimeLimitReached, 1)" and you should be set.

works great. *i* actually managed to win a map for real after some time...

Download it from gamershell, i did, it's perfect, no corruption.

I really like 2 press the Page up button when i'm the Middle East Coalition, it sounds like you're saying "Lek America" Translated that's "you got it" LOL.

You should really try being the Middle East Coalition, just for their voices OMG , im still laughing after 8 hourhs game.

Try this link www.download.com . I just finished installing mine. No glitches whatsoever. Only problem is that some parts of the graphics are somewhat very blocky. in example riding the top of the tank or the hummer....Great gameplay btw. :toast:
