My first PSP i returned because it had like 15 dead pixels but before i returned it i noticed sometimes playing Twisted Metal after awhile the sound got distorted. My New PSP i got (this swap was like a month ago or so) does the same thing with twisted metal, and with my new games NFSU Rivals. With headphones or using the speakers. Sometimes the sounds gets all :banana::banana::banana:ed up. It does this for my brothers PSP also.

Could the soundcard or whatever in these things be defective ? It doesnt happen all the time just every now and then after a couple of hours of playing or something

I've only experienced a few hiccups with the sound of NFSU Rivals. Sometimes, the sound of the engine revving dissappears during a race. You hear everything else, the blow off valve hissing, the squeeling tires, etc. Sometimes this lasts only until the next gear shift, but sometimes it lasts the whole race. I haven't played Twisted Metal, so I can't verify that problem. I have over 250 hours on my PSP and can't detect any dead pixels yet. I musta got a good one...
