I just wanted to introduce myself. Currently im an active member at Tech-Forums.com I first heard of this site, by a friend named Nubius. I think this site is hella better then any computer related forum out there. At Tech-Forums.com their is a large community of ignorant people. Most are young people that feel they know everything. Its simply not a very technical site. Still alot more i must learn, which this site can only provide. Just way to many elementary topic's flooding that site, and flame wars. Even though i still post at Tech-forums, i come here to become an active member. So thats why im here.

As of rite now, i have 2 computers. One is a cheap sony integrated piece of junk i abuse. By that i mean i DL alot of crap, and flood my HDD with everything. It has a 1.8ghz Northwood/1GB Value RAM/32bit video card. You get where im going, pure yuck.

Then i have my baby, here are my specs.
AMD4000 Clawhammer
Abit AV8 3rd Eye
OCZ Platinum 2x512mb
X800 XT PE
Dual 36GB WD Raptors in raid0
Thermaltake Shark Case
It took me almost 7 months to complete this system. I also have a 3500 Newcastle, and XMS Xtra Low Lateny 2x512mb RAM sticks. Then i decided i dident want that ram, nor the processor. My 30 days were up too, so no returns. The money for the 4000 and OCZ came from tax returns and a pay check the same week. Pretty sweet lol. Rite now my system has been down for 2 months. Since my temp sensor is trash. So im waiting for that new AGP DFI Nforce4 board to come out. Was going to get the Neo2 Platinum.

The same night i hit my system OC records, my temp sensor crashed. I have a Swiftech MCX6400 V.

With a Vantec Tornado. On my Thermaltake Shark, the removable side panel has 2 grills. Each of those grills i installed 1 120mm fan, both with 125-CFM.
Heres a pic.

Then i have a single 120mm fan in front, as intake of course. The front is a stock fan, has factory sealed screws all around. Then i have 2 120mm, 125-CFM fans in the rear of my case. Which they are stacked, one on the inside, other on the outside. Of course i used 2 of the same fans for stacking, so they work at the same rate.

When i built my computer, i installed my cooling system last. I was running around 42 degrees celcius. Then when i installed my cooling system, my cpu was at 22 degrees celcius IDLE, PWA was at 28 degrees celcius, same with SYS. I was amazed! I dont have any cpu-z shots, nor benchmarks sorry. I will provide them once i get my new board. The problem with my AV8, is that my temperatures are reading 60-65 degrees celcius...AT IDLE. So i cannot take the risk, of OC, but even using my damn system. Because once i start using my computer, i must take in consideration my temps will increase. I have my cooling system at 100%, and get these readings. Without my cooling system, i would be damn near 80 degrees celcius. Its just a liability, so im waiting for that DFI to come out. I had my RAM at 234mhz, while my cpu was at 2.8ghz. It was not completely stable. Could NOT handle video games. Although at 2.77ghz, it was 100% stable. Once i get my DFI, i'll be modding a 120mm fan on my heatsink. So im looking forward to a 3-6 temp decrease. This summer im going to be getting a dangerden WCS. I have a little project im working on rite now. Just getting my ideas striaght. I hope to be exceeding 3.0ghz by then though.

Looks like a pretty slick setup youve got goin there. Curious, what are you using to read the temps?

Anywho, welcome to Xtreme.

I use the BIO's, and the Abit Guru clock. The board comes with a special LCD monitor, that displays all your temps. I use both, they always read the same.
