i was wondering if hot mosfets can cause the system to crash, or do they operate correctly until they actually fry and kill the board permanantly????

im wondering if my mosfets are too hot and limiting my overclock....

;) Yep - hot MOSFETS can 1) limit Ya OC, 2) damage Ya hardware and 3) cause a crash.

So it's always a good idea to cool the FETS by air or water.

I found increased stability and OC by watercooling them. See my thread a few posts down.

sorry, no results yet. i have actually been considering a new board in less than 2 weeks. also a bit broke at the moment. so for both reasons i havent done it yet....

i found some awesome heatsinks for the mosfets though. i think they were coolermaster brand. they are specifically designed for mobo mosfets. each one designed for a single mosfet each, and are between about 7mm to 10mm high. very cool stuff.
they looked like the ones HERE (http://www.coolermaster.com/index.php?LT=english&Language_s=2&url_place=product&p_serial=SAC-P01&other_title=SAC-P01Little%20Chipset%20Cooler) , but the ones i saw were silver or aluminium colour....

I dont really know if they help, but my motherboard came from the factory with those heatsinks you linked, and I run a prescott. With a stock socket A AMD fan about 4 inches above them, it keeps them room temp! Its a good feeling to know you arent going to torch your mosfets when running high speeds and volts :)
