Hi guys,
I used to use ATITool's 'Find Max Core' and 'Find Max Mem' features (although I use RivaTuner to set the final clocks and do final 3DMark stability / artifact tests.)
I really like the program and it's a nice quick way of finding out what the chips are capable of, especially when voltmodding (ie set volts, leave ATITool for a few mins, note max clock, increase voltage, leave ATITool for a few minutes, note max clock etc etc).
Now, I was playing around, gradually increasing the core voltage (I'm watercooled, so pushed the core as fasr as 1.70v) and hit 'Find Max Clock'. The instant I did this, I got a (predominantly white) garbled display.

Quick reset, STILL there!
Switch PC off, leave for a few minutes, still a problem.
In the end, I uninstalled the card, ATITool and all drivers. Plugged the card back in and reinstalled drivers.
It was then OK.
Any ideas as to what went wrong?
If the screen went garbled after the core got pushed up to extremes by ATITool, then I'd be inclined to think it was too much voltage / too high core. BUT it happened as soon as I pressed the 'Find Max Core' button!!
