im experimenting with some value ram i had stored.. they are rated at cas 2.5 and sure enough i wotn go any lower than that but it does overclock.
right now im at 2.6v and 235mgz auto timings at 2.5, 4, 4, 7
i never though i coudl reach this high so easily on this value ram, or is this standard?
How high can i safely take the voltage on ram like this? I want to push it a bit more.

why don't you try it and find out..RAM's unlikely to explode before at least 3.0v, and even then the chances are very remote. So push it some more.

what chips is it using?

I have a pair of Kingmax Super RAM. The red ones, rated 2.5-4-4-7 DDR400@2.6V.
On my crappy nForce2 board, they run in dual channel 2.5-3-3-11@2.8V as DDR460. They even did 2.5-3-3-11@DDR466@2.8V for about 13 loops of test #5 from memtest, without erors. I think my motherboard it's keeping me back.

try adding some vdd, that may help stableize or add some nice ghetto cooling (ie. fan)

I have a 120mm 80 cfm Thermaltake Fan blowing air onto them, and they are pretty cold after one hour or so of test #5. If I remove the fan, they are warm, even at 2.7V DDR400.
I don't think 2.9V would help.

That's way too much cooling for your RAM chips. Have you tried them without the fan :) ... I don't really think that the 120mm fan is actualy usefull for your system's stability.

there is such thing as overkill when cooling the ram, but it shouldnt hinder the OC any, maybe keep the temps more stable on it... the only case is i see the EM from the fan (if close to the sticks) affecting some the way of the chips

I use such a big fan because it fits almost perfectly the space between my optical drives and my cpu cooler.
It seems that 2.5-3-3-11 DDR 466 it's stable with 2.9V.

Here are the 2*512 Kingmax DDR400 2.5-4-4, going well at DDR466 2.5-3-3 with 2.8V.

Is that 1T?

That's 1T. In BIOS I have 2 options: optimal and aggresive. And that's with the Aggresive option on.
Also, Everest reports a 1T CMD Rate.
